Essex Construction Alliance Launch

Last Friday, Galldris attended the Essex Construction Alliance launch meeting. This Essex County Council initiative will see the ECA become a forum for collaboration between industry and the public sector on critical issues to support a more productive, inclusive, and sustainable local economy.

Galldris fully support the benefits that the supply chain can bring to local communities:
👉🏽Maximising the value of each ‘Essex’ pound spent.
👉🏽A new, more straightforward method to access local authority procurement opportunities in Essex.
👉🏽Commitment to a new Essex ‘Business Community Pledge’ to support the recruitment and training of local people.
👉🏽Raising awareness among young people of the wide range of career opportunities at all levels in the construction industry.

Rob Halfon, MP for Harlow and the Minister for Skills, Apprenticeships and Higher Education, was a key speaker; he stated: “I was delighted to speak at the launch of the Essex Construction Alliance about the importance of skills and the ladder of opportunity which creates vocational pathways and a pipeline of talent for young people across the country to enter this vital industry. The construction sector is Essex’s powerhouse, driving economic prosperity for our county. It was great seeing industry and public sector leaders together to tackle key challenges”.

Tom Kerins, Managing Director, said: “The Galldris Group have been working across Essex and the East of England for many years. We have recently opened a new office that will service the East of England area. Galldris have a record of and a firm commitment to supporting and delivering apprenticeships and training in the areas we are working in. We welcome this opportunity to engage with the Essex Construction Alliance as we partner to increase our local ‘offer’ and develop and grow our business”.
